Print Competition

For any print submitted to the club for competition, it is required that it be matted in some fashion; either flush to foam core (gator board) or framed with matt board and backing board. The print should be secured, so it is not loose. The minimum outside measurement for any print mat is 200mm by 250mm; and the maximum is 400mm by 500mm; with a maximum thickness 6mm. The print itself, inside the matt, may be any size.

Prints entered in competition must also be labelled on the back-side of the print, in the upper left-hand corner,
(this indicates the top of the image) with the following information:

  • Title of the image or Untitled

  • Category ( Set Subject or Open)

  • Level ( M-Grade, A-Grade or B-Grade)

  • Orientation Mark (which side is up)

There is also a printed form to complete and accompany your prints at time of competition entry. You can download the form in PDF format here and print it out. The form is repeated three times on the A4 page so simply print it out and cut one off to use each month. For print entries the club also appreciates your uploading a digital copy on the digital entry page..
