End of year dinner and assessment evening
Our end of year dinner and awards evening, and December assessment night.
18:00 start for dinner ($50 pp, RSVPs in advance to Debz Dickinson). 19:30 start for those coming for the assessment evening and awards only.
November practical - ICM, Himatangi Beach
An afternoon and evening of ICM, with a BBQ dinner supplied. Please bring a koha, and let us know you’re coming for numbers.
Meet at the carpark with the public toilets near the end of Koputara Road at 4pm. We will be aiming to shoot the sunset, which is around 8:20pm.

Annual club trip - Central Plateau
This year’s club trip is booked for us to head to the Central Plateau for the weekend of 19-21 September, staying Friday and Saturday night at the Forest & Bird Lodge at Whakapapa Village at the base of Mount Ruapehu.
The Lodge is a very well appointed facility with plenty of space with a fully equipped kitchen for us to self cater, modern and warm with plenty of bedrooms and bunkrooms, open plan dining and lounge area, and a large wrap around deck for that all important indoor outdoor flow! Pricing is very reasonable ($80 - $130 depending on numbers). There are plenty of things to do in the area for all photographic interests.

Several steampunk groups from as far afield as Taranaki will meet us at the Terrace End cemetery to do an hour and a half of modelling for us. Bring your camera.

PSNZ honours - the club members who were successful in this year’s PSNZ honours round will show their sets
Nature photography and the Trenna Packer Salver nature photography competition - Chris Tuffley
Architectural abstracts is a set subject coming up later in the year, with submissions due in May.
The Trenna Packer Salver is a nature photography competition for a set of six images submitted by a club, illustrating the diversity of the natural world in New Zealand. The goal of the presentation is to help members understand what goes into putting together a set, with the aim of increasing the pool of images submitted for the club’s entry.
